Mission Worship - Stuart Townend, Andy Bromley, Paul Oakley

Mission Worship, Stuart Townend, Andy Bromley, Paul Oakley,

About This Work ...

Mission:Worship is a fresh expression of the core values of Kingsway Music. As such, this live worship recording from Colorado Springs is not just an album of new songs but a resource to encourage worshippers through offering the best music available from four of the best worship leaders around.

Served by a great live band, Stuart Townend, Andy Bromley, Paul Oakley and Mark Tedder skilfully guide the assembled worshippers through 14 songs that have already become part of the language of worship worldwide.

Mark Tedder opens proceedings with Irishman Johnny Parks Arise For The Glory Of The Lord before Stuart Townend brings the funky Lord, Im Grateful (Grace) as song co-written with Fred Heumann. Great God Of Wonders has already established itself as a worship classic and is performed here by author, the highly gifted, Andy Bromley. Paul Oakley has penned many worship songs of the highest quality and none more so than Who Is There Like You. On Mission:Worship it fittingly leads into the Townend/Getty hymn Oh To See The Dawn (The Power Of The Cross).

Mark Tedder returns declaring in his own words, We sing Your song (We Are The People Of God) which in turn heralds Andy Bromleys majestic ballad Your Name Stronger Than I Know. Paul Oakley then lifts the tempo with the driving A Love So Amazing closely followed by the Matt Redmanish pop of What Shall I Bring (Love Mercy) which concludes worship leader Andy Bromleys immediate involvement. Mark Tedder takes it to another gear as the band cranks it up a notch to deliver Marks own rock anthem All Around The World (Become What You Believe).

Stuart Townends return is marked by gentle, reflective How Deep The Fathers Love For Us and album closer the monumental In Christ Alone. Both tracks receive fantastic new arrangements. Between these timeless classics from the master hymn writer there is just time for Mark Tedders tender There Is A Place and Paul Oakleys awesome You Have Loved Me (Father Me).
