I wanted to tell you
personally how much I enjoyed the keyboard sessions this
last weekend. I had never been to one of the seminars
before. I thought the keyboard sessions were EXCELLENT. I
was very much enlightened as well as challenged to improve.
Thank you!! I did buy your keyboard book at the seminar, and
I am looking forward to going through it step by step.
Thanks again and God bless.

Your workshop was an
inspiration to me to continue to pursue excellence and
growth. I have always felt frustrated that I could not play
by ear and therefore cannot pick up musical "idioms" like
others. I have to understand the "theory" in order to learn
these styles. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find a
teaching source since many people playing the contemporary
styles just do it... by ear... and cannot break down for
people like myself what it happening. When I understand the
theory behind the music, I can quickly incorporate it into
my style. Thank you for addressing this issue. I bought your
book and am putting it to use. I wish I could have more, but
for now. I am using what I have from your
book..Sincerely..

I would love to have more
opportunity to pick your brain. There is so much in there. I
have already begun to intensify my practice time, using your
book as a guide. My instrumental team was pretty excited
last night during rehearsal when I added some organ licks.
Thanks for your time, talents and availability.

My name is LaCharla, and I
attended the 1st 3 keyboard/rhythm section sessions. Thank
you for the incredible amount of information you gave us; I
went on and on about what I learned to the others! I
couldn't really play the keyboard, though I'd played flute
years ago. Your book, right from the start, lays out helpful
exercises that I know will help build my skills. This is
just what I've been looking for. I've searched for music
instruction books that teach chord theory to no avail. Much
of what I've seen in your book I'm excited about mastering
the things I understand.

I really like your book. I
work at Cleansing Stream Ministries. Both Dick and Kathryn
loved it soooo- they want one. This book will be very
helpful to me, my musical education was interrupted with
marriage and 5 kids. I only have a little over a year of
college theory. By the way this book is
Excellent.

I am delighted that you are
willing to keep in e-mail touch. I am sure some questions
may come up and I appreciate you as a resource. I am working
my way through Keyboard Wisdom and see that it could help me
develop my keyboard skills significantly. Again, thank
you!

I will be studying your book
very closely in the upcoming days and weeks. I really
appreciated all of your time and input this last weekend. I
am the kind of person that will not let a golden opportunity
for learning go to waste so believe me when I say that your
efforts with me will not go in vain.

The workshop was fabulous!
Maranatha II was a spiritual retreat where you get private
piano lessons. For me, I can't imagine anything
better.

Thanks. I truly appreciated
the help you provided me, and I'll be working on that "dirty
organ" sound (gotta find a volume pedal first!).

You have a wonderful and
marvelous skill. Thank you for sharing it with us. I left
the workshop feeling that there is sooooo much to do; so
much I want to share with the music ministry at my church.
Your book contains much of the theory in one place that
otherwise would require several books. Thank you for it.
Thanks again for your sharing. It was great fun!

I just wanted to thank you
and your team for a wonderful conference - it was extremely
inspiring and practical. What an incredible blessing.

Thanks for a great workshop!
I am so glad that I took your keyboard workshops at
Hawthorne last month. Your experience in music was
contagious, and I left with a sense of confidence and
dedication that I needed in order to go to the next
level.

I thoroughly enjoyed the
weekend with you in Pittsburgh. You truly inspired me to be
better and "noodle" more! Thanks for all you do.

Thank you so much for the
excellent workshop. It contained a lot of great, practical
advice and information.

Thanks for an excellent
workshop. Please let me know if your arrangements are ever
published for solo keyboard.

I was are remembering our
wonderful sessions at the conference. You might remember me,
my husband Nathan & I talked to you quite a bit during
and after the classes. Nathan writes and performs music and
I was the pianist wanting desperately to break out of the
classical chains and learn contemporary style, jazz, blues
etc. I've been wanting to thank you because your sessions
were a catalyst for me. I was re inspired and I'll never
forget playing the B3 organ with you cheering me on - that
was funny! I have been trying to apply what you taught us
and I'm loving the freedom I'm feeling to be funky and bold.
I had always lacked that.

My wife wants a copy of
Keyboard Wisdom. She said your pointers were the answer to
some adjustments that we need to make in our band improves.
I found the info in your pass out sheets to be very useful.
Maybe you don't realize this, but some of your suggestions
apply to general rehearsal techniques as well as keyboard.

Thank you for your willing
heart and for being so "down to Earth"! It was motivating
for me to hear you play! I'm back to practicing again!
Actually our entire band attended the workshop! We are all
jazzed up now! With great respect,

I'm thrilled to have a copy
of "Keyboard Wisdom". I'm an intuitive player, and always
have been since an early age. I have the incredible gift of
near perfect pitch and the ability to listen to a song and
play it. But that ability also made me somewhat lazy and
complacent, since I didn't have to work at it to make good
music. I used to even think, as a kid, that if I learned all
of the proper rote skills, I would lose the intuitive side.
That really set me back. I have lately been feeling very
overwhelmed with the amount of work I need to do to get to
where I really need to be technically (the rote stuff).
"Keyboard Wisdom" gives me a jumping off place to start. I'm
now looking to schedule at least two hours a day, every day,
to practice those skills I'm currently lacking and maybe get
a good bit more caught up. What an incredible weekend that
was for me, and for our whole team from Everyone on our team
came away with something very special from that weekend. For
me, and for a few others of us, perhaps the most overriding
message we got was "less is more" You gave me lots of great
ideas along those lines for the role of the keyboard. Of
course, the keyboard also carries things between songs much
of the time and this is a skill I'm looking forward very
much to developing.

I enjoyed the clinic and
found many useful ideas in the process. I have played now
for about 40+ years and there is always room to grow and
learn. I have a home studio that is used to produce midi
files and backup tracks for vocalists to use in worship. I
came away with some fresh ideas and a renewed spirit to do
for the Lord with the talent that he has given me. You are a
very good teacher as well as a great player. I hope you
continue to give the clinics as it is a blessing to all who
attend. Again it was a pleasure learning from
you.

Attending your sessions in
Richmond, VA in 1999 changed my keyboard
playing forever.
I am no longer "just" a piano player...I am an
"orchestrator,"
providing rhythm or fill
as needed. I can even play by ear, which I never could have
done three years ago. Unfortunately now no one else wants to
play keys for our worship band. I
scared them away. My
worship leader (a guitarist, sorry to say) is
very happy
since he doesn't have to work as hard anymore. God has truly
grown my
gift and I hope to
attend another of your workshops in the near
future. Sincerely,
Lisa
